Callahan's Chowder is our answer to a simple question: what happens when you take a serious .44 Magnum load and put it in a can with a name that sounds like it belongs on a diner menu?
You get chowder.
The kind with a 1,400 FPS problem.
This is .44 Magnum, loaded with 240 grain Hornady XTP projectiles and pushing 1,400 FPS for 1,044 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. The XTP is designed for controlled expansion, deep penetration, and accuracy, making this a serious defensive load despite the decidedly unserious packaging.
And yes, it's actually in a can.
Each can contains 50 rounds of new-production, non-corrosive, reloadable brass ammunition, sealed inside an airtight, waterproof, food-grade 14 oz can. We added a desiccant pack to keep things dry, a safe-rim pop-top to get you into the chowder, and a resealable plastic lid for whatever you don't finish.
Because apparently some people like to save their chowder for later.
