Just like our other SBD entries, this formula was designed to take your typical super-sonic 30-30 rifle, and make it Silent But Deadly. Perfect for hunting small to medium game, while being discreet or a fantastic and fun-filled range session. This formula is exceptionally clean burning and won't foul your barrel.
The Hornady Interlock RN bullets feature exposed lead tips for controlled expansion and hard‑hitting terminal performance. It features the pioneering secant ogive design — one of the most ballistically efficient profiles ever developed. It also features an exclusive InterLock® design — a raised ring inside the jacket that is embedded in the bullet's core that keeps the core and jacket locked together during expansion to retain mass and energy.
Range will vary depending on your platform, but at 100 yards, where we measured a 4" drop.
This formula experienced a decreased velocity with longer barrels; the velocities measured during testing:
