38 Special +P, 125 grain XTP @ 1,020 fps.
This round is designed to be hard hitting and accurate in any size revolver. We got hollow point expansion and an average of 15" penetration through four layers of denim into Clear Ballistics gelatin from a 1.9" barrel. Mr. Minuteman shot a fist sized, 5 shot, group at 25 yards, from standing, with his old Taurus 651 (2" barrel.) Made using flash suppressed powder.
Not all barrels are created equal, chronographs don't always agree with each other and atmospheric conditions affect velocities. That being said, we believe that you can expect to get around 1,020 fps out of a 1.9" barrel with this round. Our Smith and Wesson Bodyguard (1.9" barrel) got an average velocity of 1,026 fps.
